The Tubatulabal Tribe (teh-ba-teh-la-bals) existed in its present day location (about 1 hour east of Bakersfield, CA) for thousands of years. We are one of the 63 Indigenous Tribal Groups of California.
We are proud of our Tribal history, culture and language. We pay respect to our elders, youth, animals, and environment. Our Tribal colors represent the following: black - for the elders who have gone before us, white - for our youth, turquoise - mother earth, and burgandy - for our people.
